Our Resort Policies

General

Check-in/Check-out

  • Check in time is 2:00 pm, or by arrangement.
  • Check out time is 11:00 am, or by arrangement.

Minimum Booking

  • Victoria Day Weekend, Canada Day Weekend & Labour Day Weekend are Minimum 2 Nights bookings with absolutely no cancellations.
  • All Holiday Weekends are completely non refundable upon booking.

Supervision

Children MUST be supervised at all times by an adult/guardian while staying at our resort.

Pet Policy

  • WE ARE A PET FRIENDLY RESORT!! 
  • You must have your pets on a leash at all times and not left unattended.
  • You are responsible for cleanup of your pet at all times.
  • An additional pet cleaning charge of $25.00 per your stay.

Cancellations

We are so excited that you have decided to book with us, however we do understand from time to time that things can arise and you may need to cancel.

During Peak Season (June 1st – August 31st)

  • During our peak season, 30 days notice is required for reservation cancellation in order to receive a full refund less a $35 administration fee.
  • If you cancel your booking with less than 30 days notice during peak season you will lose your deposit.
  • Less than 7 Days notifications you will be required to pay the total amount of your booking.
 
In any other time of the year
 
  • 7 days notice is required for a reservation cancellation in order to receive a full refund less a $35 Administration fee.
  • If you cancel your booking with less than 7 days notice,  you will lose your deposit {cost of your first night)
  • If you cancel your booking with less than 5 days notice, you will be required to pay the total amount of your booking.
  • For any reservation 7 days or more a deposit of 50% is required.
    • 30 day notification is required for a full refund less a $35 Administration fee.
    • Less than 14 days notification of canceling there will be no refund.
 
Should there be a formal advisory from the RCMP advising motorists stay off the roads due to weather, a full refund minus a $35 administration fee will be refunded. This advice must be announced before your check in time at 4:00 p.m.

Payments

  • We accept Visa, Amex, Interac, EMT and Cash .
  • Please note that all credit card deposits are processed immediately.

Other

Smoking Policy

  • All Cottages are STRICTLY NON-SMOKING and the use of illegal substances is forbidden.
  • A minimum cleaning fee of $350 + HST will be charged to your credit card for nonompliance.

General Housekeeping

  • Although general housekeeping is included in your cottage rental, failure to wash/dry your dishes and wipe down the kitchen will result in a minimum of $50 cleaning fee on your credit card.

Telecommunication and Internet Services

  • Terra Nova Cottages, RV Park & Conference Centre has a pay phone on site for the convenience of our guests.
  • Wi-Fi / Fibre Op Available.

Fireworks Policy

  • We are a pet friendly resort. Fireworks are NOT permitted.
  • Non-compliance will result in a non refundable addition charge.

Liability

  • Terra Nova Cottages is relieved from liability from accidents to visitors and any loss or damage to their property including motor vehicles.

 

  • Terra Nova Cottages is not responsible for acts of God, war, government restrictions or interruptions or circumstances arising out of our control such as water loss, internet interruptions or satellite TV loss, and will not be liable to offer refunds in such instances.
